Texas Option Companies Lead the Way in Flood Relief Efforts
Following the devastating floods that swept across Central Texas in July, many Texas Option companies have shown yet again how much they care by going above and beyond to support impacted communities. Their swift action and generous contributions have made a meaningful difference in the lives of countless Texans—and all of them have our heartfelt gratitude and admiration.
Stand-out companies doing good deeds in Texas include these incredible organizations and others:
HEB deployed disaster response teams immediately, donating more than $1 million in food, water, and emergency supplies. The company also set up mobile kitchens to provide meals to displaced residents and first responders.
Home Depot supported recovery efforts by donating building materials, cleanup kits, and grants to local organizations. Employee volunteers joined recovery crews to help families begin repairing their homes. The Home Depot Foundation also committed $250,000 to support disaster relief efforts in communities impacted by the flash floods.
James Avery pledged $1 million for flood relief efforts and donated 100% of proceeds from its “Deep in the Heart of Texas” charm in July, with donations going to trusted relief organizations. The company also offered direct assistance to employees and families affected by the flooding.
Academy Sports + Outdoors partnered with frontline organizations, including Texas Search and Rescue (TEXSAR) and the Texas A&M Forest Service, to provide on-the-ground logistical support. They also distributed bottled water and essential supplies to volunteers and residents, and donated $250,000 to The Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country’s Kerr County Flood Relief Fund to aid in long-term rebuilding.
Tractor Supply Company focused on supporting rural and agricultural communities hit hard by the floods, donating livestock feed, fencing materials, and emergency supplies. In addition, Tractor Supply made financial contributions to local and statewide recovery efforts.
These companies embody the Texas Option’s core value of taking the best possible care of others. Their leadership during this crisis has provided not only material support, but also hope and encouragement as Texas begins to recover and rebuild.
PartnerSource is joining others who are choosing to help our fellow Texans through a donation to the Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country Kerr County Flood Relief Fund to support Hunt, Ingram, Kerrville, Center Point and Comfort nonprofit organizations; first responder agencies; and local governments involved in the response to the flooding, relief efforts and recovery efforts. This fund is playing a key role in delivering both immediate assistance and supporting infrastructure rebuilding in the hardest-hit communities, and we’re proud to support it. For anyone wishing to offer assistance, this is a credible and worthwhile organization to consider.
