The Oklahoma Option to workers' compensation was enacted in 2013, with the first Option injury benefit plans established in Summer 2014.  The Oklahoma Supreme Court decided on September 13, 2016 that the Oklahoma Option did not satisfy the "special law" provision of the Oklahoma Constitution.
